The CARe model has several key features:
- It is relational – based on an equal, dialogical and trusting relationship
- It supports a personal recovery process
- It emphasises strengths and facilitates empowerment but also takes vulnerability into account
- It is social – it supports beneficial places, social networks and communities
The CARe model is characterised by 4 core acts. These active verbs are the backbone of the approach. These acts are connecting, understanding, ensuring and strengthening.
